NH Protocols

NH Protocols guide SANE practice first and foremost. The Medical/Forensic Sexual Assault Protocol provides thorough guidance on best practices for responding to sexual assault and evidence kit collection. The other protocols may be helpful if your program sees other forensic populations.

Ordering Kits

If your facility is low on kits, you can order more through the Attorney General's Office. You can either email or call for kits at:

Kits are mailed out during normal business hours, Monday-Friday, and usually arrive in 2 days. If you ever run out and need a kit more urgently, we recommend requesting one from another local hospital. If you ever run into any issues facilitating a transfer, you can always reach out to Janet or Anna to help coordinate!

The CDC updates STI treatment recommendations every few years. You can find the most up-to-date recommendations, alternative regimens, and other resources on their website. They also have an STI Treatment Guide app you can download.
